Clew Bay Archaeology Trail
This trail guides you through 6000 years of human activity in the Clew Bay region. Representing archaeology from as early as the Neolithic period (4000BC) through to the modern era this trail reveals the various relationships between the land and humans who shaped it.
There are 4 sections to this trail – one of which is on nearby Clare Island – entailing approximately 35km of cycling. We would recommend allowing yourself two days to complete the entire trail which will allow you adequate time to thoroughly experience each site.
