Westport National Coastal Walk
(‘Westport Greenway’)
The first thing everyone notices on arrival in Westport is the mystical backdrop that is Ireland’s most famous mountain, Croagh Patrick (‘the Reek’). On terrain consisting of the designated walking/cycling Greenway, roads and cycling lanes this 9km route will take you from Westport to Westport Quay and onwards to Murrisk and Croagh Patrick.
Upon arriving in Murrisk you may decide to climb to the summit of ‘the Reek’, walk on the beach’s at nearby Bertra or have a bit of lunch before returning to Westport, the choice is yours. Our most popular self-guided tour; this is a priority for all visitors to Westport!
